The Outback comes standard with a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer® four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. An available 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru Boxer® four-cylinder engine produces 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. All Outback models are paired with a Lineartronic® CVT (continuously variable transmission) and symmetrical all-wheel drive.
If you love off-roading, the Outback is a fantastic option. A ground clearance of 8.7 inches is standard, while the Wilderness trim has 9.5 inches of clearance. Inside the cabin, there are five seats and standard passenger volume of 109 cubic feet. When you need to transport your belongings, you can utilize 32.6 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats and 75.6 cubic feet with the rear seats lowered.
The standard Outback infotainment system is anchored by dual seven-inch touchscreens. An available 11.6-inch infotainment touchscreen setup is available as well. Wired Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard, while wireless versions are available. Four speakers come standard, but you can upgrade to an available 12-speaker Harmon Kardon premium audio system. The standard EyeSight Driver Assist suite of safety features includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane-departure warning, automatic foglights, and more.
